Biography:
Dr. Ankur Rampal studied at Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences & Research (SGRD), in Amritsar, and was awarded his Bachelor of Dental Surgery B.D.S. by Baba Farid University of Heath Sciences (BFUHS), in 2012.
In pursuit of larger ambitions, Dr. Rampal settled in Canada. After arriving on a Canadian Student Visa, he completed his Dental Assistant Level 2 National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) Certificate with a GPA of 4.0. And then after completing the Canadian Immigration process, he qualified as Professional Dentist in Ontario by passing the DDS (Canadian equivalency) Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) Exam, in 2018.
Dr. Rampal is aesthetic dentistry enthusiast. He enjoys reading. He is keen researcher and enjoys finding innovative ways and collaborating in the field of dentistry. He enjoys the company of people and persistently strives to improve his skills and find ways to better his profession.
Dr. Rampal recently purchased and renovated a training facility. The ITD Training Centre, located in the heart of Mississauga, focuses on helping the Internationally Trained Dentist with exam preparation and clinical practice so they can pass required Dental Board Exams. The Centre also provides an introduction to the industry program for students who wish to pursue degrees at Canadian Universities.
The ITD Training Centre has invested in modern equipment, dental chairs, and patient mannequins so students get close to ‘real world’ experience. The Centre hires friendly professional instructors that provide structured content through lectures and live presentations. Practice Lab access is provided and class sized are kept to a minimum. Each student is provided an assessment on registration and then ample one-on-one individual instruction and work checks.
When not in the office, Dr. Rampal engages himself by practicing yoga and going to the gym. He is an automobile enthusiast who enjoys travelling and discovering new places. •
